The soil dwelling predatory mite Stratiolaelaps scimitus (Hypoaspis miles) is used in many Scandianvian cucumber greenhouses for assisting the biological control of Thrips. Use 1 spoon (5 milliliter) of product per bucket or slap with 2-3 cucumber plants. The effect can be up to 64 % on thrips pupae of T.tabaci and 43 % on F.occidentalis acc. to studies by Wu et. al. 2014 (Biocontrol Science and Technology 24 (10): 1110-1121.
